Please open the link to the flyer below:
Nambour, Laurel Springs Village, 18 Doolan Street
Tuesdays, 10 am – 12 noon
For: People diagnosed with dementia with their family carer and/or paid support carer.
Ageless Grace chair exercises are a combination of exercises chosen for physical and brain health.
There is a mix of exercises to create physical strength, co-ordination and increase aerobic capacity. There are exercises related to tai chi and yoga for flexibility, stretching, breathing and relaxation.
Music is chosen from the participants’ favourites so they often sing-a-long or reminisce.
The exercises are varied to create interest and imagination to challenge the brain to think.
The atmosphere is playful with laughter and conversation with participants giving input to discussions.
The focus is on what I can do, not what I can’t do.
Morning tea is social with chatting and networking. Friendships have been forged.
Payment: privately or via NDIS or My Aged Care packages.
$10 an individual and $15 a couple. Includes morning tea.
